The pros:

Taito's Egret 2 is a well known and well desired cabinet. It is fitted with a Toshiba monitor and a Nanao Ms9 chassis. a combination that is regarded as one of the best setups for low res gaming. What this cabinet is most famous for is its rotation mechanism. The monitor is installed on a swivel and can easily be rotated by one person. The cabinet also comes wired for JAMMA+, with 5 buttons off the jamma connector and a separate S connector for the 6th button. It sports further versatility by having a stereo/mono switch installed, and two stereo connectors, P for regular 4 pin stereo and F is specially for the F3 system. The power supply comes with -5v so it can support older boards such as Rastan, Raiden, ect that need the -5v for sound. The control panel surround can be removed to make transport easier.

The cons:

Egret 2's are in high demand and short supply, and so are replacement parts. Many of the original parts like power supply, marquee, panel, are much more difficult to find compared to SEGA parts. Reproduction parts are becoming more common, but power supplies, illumination panels, are hard to find. The jamma harness is not 100% jamma, so some boards do have issues with the cabinet as far as controls.

In summary, the Egret 2 is an excellent cabinet, especially if you can only have one cabinet.
