Description:
The Swing was released in 1991, supporting four-player simultaneous play for games like Spiderman. To improve visibility for players on both sides, the Swing featured a convex piece of smoked glass over the screen. The 26-inch screen was not changed from the Aero City, but its body was the first Sega generic cabinet to be made of fiberglass resin. The control panel was placed higher than other City type cabinets, because, The idea was that we wanted to distribute the cabinet overseas according to Masao Yoshimoto, head of Sega's Mechatro research and development division.
